VK Mobile VK2020 Details

Ergin Guney Regarding dropped calls, I've been getting way more dropped calls with this phone, too, compared to my previous phone, which was a Sony Ericsson T616. It usually happens in locations where the signal reception is less then ideal.

As for the "why", I can only imagine that it's because corners have been cut in the antenna design/size and the chipset capabilities in order to make the phone as small as it is. So, I file it as another item under the "things you may have to live with if you want a phone this tiny" category.

james I'm debating whether to buy the VK2020 at Wapzon or the Linx M2688 at an Ebay auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBa...=9712741873)

Does anyone have any comments about the Linx phone? I haven't been able to find any reviews anywhere but the phone looks awesome. Any suggestions or information are greatly appreciated, thanks.

Cameron Thanks for the help acuratls, I did that and the files seemed to transfer because the phone memory is filling up but the mp3's are not showing up under music or sounds and I tried to store them there. Any more hints? Thaks again

NeO-AZN The phone heats up after about 5 min. However,it just gets warm. This is pretty common for most cell phones I've used in general. As for the battery life, it isn't the greatest...it needs to be charged every 2 days I find. I'm not sure if there is any adverse effects on the battery if you use the phone while charging...I can only assume it doesn't since lithium batteries aren't supposed to have the memory effect.

I don't have a vk 2020 but a 2010. I am very satisfy with it except one thing. I have sms issue when trying to send long sms. It doesn't work and I have to restart the phone. i also had this problem with my old vk2000. I saw that someone of you said that a soft upgrade was available for vk2020 to solve that issue ? Do you know where i can find it ? And is it also available for vk2010 ?

vk i purchase VK2020 from other person where the price is same as wapzon. they provide additional battery and battery charger (desktop charger).

max Hi I'm planing to buy a VK2020 and all your opinion's are very helpfull.
But I still have some questions:
1.dose the email work well? and can I syc. my outlook to it?
2.dose anyone know if the software kann be edited like some Nokia's or at least updated at home?

<unknown> I bought vk2020 a month ago and use it with Cingular in the US. So far, great phone, no problems. Got this instead of sliver because vk2020 is thinner, but also much shorter and lighter weight. It also ended up being cheaper. I would definately buy this phone again if I needed to.

Toni Barreiras When charging you can't hear the other side. But if using bluetuth hand-free you can hear the other person.

The softwares of pc-sincronization work's fine. Just install it, restart computer and start program. Phone should be ou Com3 and with option Sincro PC( just ses phone cd)

The screen may be bigger. It's small with a good resolution. In black backgrouds some vertical line (less black) appear.

Key pad appears to be metalic... why saying is plastic?!?! plastic, onliy the white part off key pad with number.

When bought, i thought it would be a basic phone with a basic software, but i was wrong.
The software is very compleate. With 1000 adn on phone book, you can't attribute ring tones and photos to singular number, but you have groups of contacts with diferente photos and ringtones, if you desire.

Have a calendar, that optional you can use it on screen with some transparenci to backgroud. Clock may be analog or digital and may se two diferente times on display for diferent cities on the world.
Have chronometer, Units and currency converter. With big fingers, is ok to press keys.
You can send to phone thing by bluetuth. Sometimes things (that are not music, ringtones or images) go to some part of the phone where ...where the hell i don't know.
Bluetuth hands-free is easy to configure, but you cant disconnect it, because the phone turn it ON again. if it disconects, the only way to connect it again, is configure, again, hands-free.
The phone is small, with good resolution screen (not the best i see), 1, 1 and a half day of authonomy, bluetuth, mp3 player.
With thar characteristics, is a phone in a range of price 175-200 Euros. So the 208 euros that costs is a reasonable price (i think). Is not the right phone for demanding environment.

Motorola L7 is best, but isn't so small and is more heavy. The right phone if you want anithing small to a demanding job.
