Sony Ericsson to unveil PlayStation phones?
04/09/2006
Well, not quite yet. According to Sony Ericsson's senior vice president of Product and Application Planning, Rikko Sakaguchi, the company "is working on something" (related to the PlayStation phone), although he claims that "the surprise must be kept for the future". Speaking at a media conference in Malmo, Sweden, as part of the company¡¯s upcoming 5th anniversary celebrations in October, Sakaguchi added that the objective was not to create a gaming device but one that integrates both the gaming and communication functions.
When CNET Asia asked if Sony Ericsson would use the WEGA branding for its TV-enabled handsets (after the Walkman and Cyber-shot), Sakaguchi confirmed that there are plans afoot to do something along those lines, but declined to comment further. He did, however, add that it generally takes around two years to develop a new lineup of phones such as the Walkman series. So going by that measure, it shouldn't be too long before we see the first PlayStation or WEGA handsets in the market if the current plans pan out.

Bawa HI All guyz i hv just got a new k800i from uk, but the main prob of mine is that the phone locked by orange any one readind this post plz tell me from where to get phone unlock its rt in uk..

gregory It is clearly a good phone

<unknown> Yes it does have a memory card slot read the review! It is a great phone and its camera makes up for any faults. It truly is a worthy phone of this era. Nicely

<unknown> ive had this phone for two months and it is really amazing but the downsides are that the speakers are not loud and the vibrate sucks on this phone, you cant even feel it, which makes it really hard to know that someone is calling you while on busy streets or in loud places, another thing is that the video recording sucks, but everyone knows that already

myphonecallisbored I like the phone and update my phones with the regularity of halley comet passings.

I tend to stick with S-E & have upgraded from a T610 so everything on this phone is all up-2-date with new bells and whistles which did'nt take me long to delve into and get used to. Overall I recommend this phone for its features and camera and must have latest icon etc desirability.

I Cannot compare it to Samsungs or Nokia latest & greatest as I am so used to S-E interfaces and use of the joystick that I decided that this dog need not learn new tricks.

However here are the issues I have with it:

1.My Reception I live in an area that really is "the 14th century"

2. It reverts to phone locking status far to quickly.

3. The camera, why can I not simply press button and take photo ay... there is a delay, when undertaking this process, eventually sussed this "delay" out but still do not like it.

4. Cannot play *.swf files on the phone which means I have to convert them to avi files first.

5. The call management menu /options / list are not comprehnesive enough for my liking.

6. Cannot delete some of the unnecessary vodafone tat that comes bolted onto the phone.

7 That plastic camera lens cover hmmm.... those who have the dexterity of an oil rig best watch out.

Given them 7 bad points I would still give it 8.5 out of 10 or 4 stars out of 5

An excellent phone.
