chris im about too get this phone cos my other 1 feel 3 stories and died i hope i like it all i need is call text and mms

Clash_light The navigation on this phone is brilliant; you can find what you want, fast. Admitidly its not as easy to use as my previous phone, nockia 3310, but what a step up this was. i bought it 3rd hand of one of my friends for £10 2 years ago. Okay ill be blunt, the camera sucks ass, but recording ringtones is really quite useful. The only major complaint i have (excluding that of the camera) is how the screen gets messed up and scratched, in bright lights it is impossible to see a thing, which is really quite annoying. You WILL need a new case after a while. All in all this is an 8 out of 10 phone. Oh and i love the design and keypad layout.

Adam This phone is pretty poor in some important ways but good in others...

I've followed the instructions for setting up with O2 UK and it's not right

For a start Java applets will not download. Ever. You set off the download and it's like "Please wait" with a bargraph that never moves, you also conveniently get a 0 byte file with the name of what you were trying to download.

MMS doesn't work, despite my setting the options exactly, just get a network failure whenever I try, can't get dialup WAP via 91500 to work (it has GPRS which works but I get 300 minuts of dialup WAP and 1MB of GPRS WAP per month so I'd like to use the minutes for large downloads)

The camera is 352x288 but I don't see why people are complaining as an MMS is only 120x160 if I remember rightly so 352x288 is more than adequate, the battery has been fine too despite me doing things I shouldn't with it like leaving it on charge for weeks at a time, the display itself is nice enough, the resolution isn't huge but it's fine, colours are bright etc.

One really nice feature of this phone is that you can just draw your own logos, startup, shutdown etc. You can also make the SP logo a 1px by 1px transparent gif so it goes away. and it'll handle normal midi tones as ringtones so I was able to get a nice final fantasyish theme on this phoen by drawing four images (startup, shutdown, background, screensaver) and the 1 pixel sp one and uploading them to some webspace I have, go to it with gprs and it downloads them fine, a lot cheaper than paying for ringtones and I get the Final Fantasy 2 music (Check FF:DoS title music on GBA)

The phone itself was a good price, I got mine for around £35 (US$61.25) which isn't bad for all those features, no contract either, the case quality sucks but you can get replacements on ebay for something like 3 quid ($5ish) including postage so who cares

All in all if you dont' want to spend a fortune and the Java download/MMS issues can be sorted this would be a good phone for students/schoolkids etc. not too expensive to replace if it walks/gets broken and quite a bit of functionality.

Wow, wrote more than I intended there, if anyone can help with my java download issue email me please :p

Peace

abbeycity I love the set and i will like if i can request for buyer

Feliz Got mine for 3 years now. In the beginning I was quite disappointed by it's picture quality, but learned to live with it ;-) I'm satisfied with this phone, but it's not my favourite. Lately it is switching off whenever it wants and it's rather on the slow side.
I'm considering to get a Samsung E530, but I want to wait until this one no longer works.

steph a good little phone for the first time user, but after a while the keys stick, ive had mine a 6months and it has just started switching off by its self.the ringtones are terrible and camera is grainy.
possitivly hate the ringtones.

<unknown> this phone is the best ....u can do what ever u whant whit it

<unknown> This is the slowest mobile I ever seen in all of my life. the camera quality is horrible it, doesn' t have any quality and the phone is very
slow. Siemens should think much better before creating a phone like this one, is a very bad point to them reputation. Well, about other features I don' t have nothing to say.

Leanne Coffey. I hate it! I've had this phone for a year and a half and can hardly think of one good thing to say about it! The camera is crap. The games are crap. And the photo quality is crap! Oh ya, and it's sooooo slow! It's been the same since the first day I got it. I'd give it one star out of five. */*****
(It Looks Nice. But For The Price,€200.00, It's not worth it at all.)

Austin Terrible. This phone drives me crazy!
Awful camera. SLOW. Just don't buy it!
