aram if you want to put your mp3 to ypur ring : you have to put mp3 format in agp: so before you open your mp3 by the audio editor you select the 20-30 secondes of song( not more) and you save as ...(in format wave or mp3) , after that you change the format in agp with super (logiciel):
hanna ive had this phone for about 4 months now and recently it has flipped the screen over so the imail is where the imode is but if you press on the imail button it stil takes you to the imode...has this happened to anyone else?

matty boy ok, i was defo gonna to get this phone until i heard about a HSPDA phone,a samsung z560, but i bet the price of z560 will be expensive, at least S500i's feature is more than better for my money,....the more better phones samsung makes, the harder for me t0 get s500i...
Jim Hi All. I have just bought the Samsung S500i.
Since I have purchased the handset, I have not been able to receive or send mms. I am definitely provisioned correctly on the network.
Now I must admit, I am a little remedial when it comes to new technology!, and have always used Nokia's in the past, so if anyone can take the time to help me with very basic instructions on how to send, receive and view mms on my phone, I really would very much appreciate it. Cheers, Jim.
Charlotte Ive had the Samsung E700 for a couple of years now and it has finally packed up so brought the S500i as I still like my old fone...but when I got it there is No ringtunes on it or anything just 1 main 1 and 1 mian message tone...Is that right? Also I tried sening pictures via message to this phone and it comes up invalid...can this fone not receive picture messages that way? :os Im a little dissapointed really.
<unknown> Does anyone know if the headphones with this phone (for listening to music) are the same as the d500 ones? If not, where can i get the ones for this from? Thanks
Emily okay so i just figured out the ringtone thing. i'll spell it out, step by step for all you confused people.
first, download iTunes from the internet.
second, in iTunes, click 'file' and then select 'add file to library'.
find the file on your computer that you want as a ringtune, and click open.
it should automatically convert it to AAC, but if it doesn't, then right click and select 'convert to AAC'. some songs are protected and cannot be converted. if this is the case - pick another song!!
once you've done that, using the software that came with the phone, send the song to your phone in the 'MUSIC' folder. i'm not even going to try explaining this part. figure it out. :P
now, on your phone, go to 'file manager'. notice this part. 'file manager' NOT NOT NOT 'settings'. go into 'music'. your song should be there. click 'options', and then scroll down to 'set as' and click. select item 2 'ringtone'.
congratulations, it will now play as your ringtone.
note - if you try to select your song through 'settings' then it will tell you the file is too large. if you select it through file manager, it automatically only plays the first 20 seconds or so. so pick a song with a good beginning.
i hope this answers a few questions.
