You're right. Samsung support for that particular model is absolutely marginal. I think it's just because they have no real plans to implement it any more. In Germany, for example, they could not force the phone to work with O2 network... Shame on Samsung.
Galaxer 1. How do you get activesync to work?
You have to change USB mode Start - Settings - More - USB Mode from "Mass Storage" to "Active Sync". Should work fine. :-)
2. How do you set a WMA file as a ringtone.
Put the desired tone in the directory "Ringtones" on the HDD or Storage - Application Data - Sounds in the main memory of the phone.
3. How do you get the samsung media player to sort tracks by album and genre-

iain hi is there a way of storing mp3's on the hdd instead of storage?
zpj phone has quality sound and loud when play mp3! im using this headset from w800i,and it gives such powerful sound! just got it 3 days ago and i love it! im probably the first to have in Scandinavia! hehe! the only thing lacking is radio! it would be perfect if it has radio function! camera is ok, just like many other 1.3mb cam! :) if anyone want answer to anything, just write me! :)
Ra i just got this phone 3 days ago and my first impression was .... amazing phone!very solid yet very light, the screen was very nice! it was very bright and very vivid! the scrollwheel was 50/50 for me, its LOVE AND HATE feelin. the phne was very slow even though it said that this thing has 400+ mhz?
the hdd is my main concern, eventhough its very nice to have a 3gig on a phone i still sometimes think that its fragile! so im afraid to drop this thing.the music quality is exceptional My k750i is still alot better when it comes to producing sound quality. etc etc... overall this phone is very good especially the screen and the material quality! love it.
ps.. one more thing, the battery suckass! lol. the exteded battery makes the phone looks like a hunchback! >.
mr man stil wont let me play. can i convert it on my computer to mpeg2, mpeg4? which does the phone play?
mr man couple of things i forgot to mention. does anyone no how to set a picture to a contact, i.e. it comes up wen they ring? and i cant play a video ive added to the phone. its mpeg and it comes up on hdd wen on file manager but says i cant play - i have to open the application then add to library, but wen on samsung media and windows media wen i try adding it it isnt even there.

Galaxer To use Photo ID functions, you need the third party software like IA Caller ID. There are no internal tools to do this. Everybody who bought i300 is screwed up by Samsung. :-/
shaliden Had fone since last wednesday.Battery life rubbish.Had to use larger battery on Saturday,Fully charged midday.Knocked off midnight as smaller battery lasted hours.Knocked on in morning Half charge lost(In only 12 hours)Hadn't used music player for more than 20 minutes.Is there a way to shut down applications in the background(Currently have a track on pause cannot seem to just knoct it off)
