Qtek 8300 Details
HighProtein If you like this phone but don't like the older version of windows mobile on it or how wi-fi works on it I suggest buying the American version of the SDA. The Windows Mobile 5 version works good and wi-fi is incredibly quick.
I just got this phone last week and would like to spread the word about it and the new software and features already available for it.

Matt I got this on t-mobile in the UK under its guise SDAII. They have put windows mobile 2003 on it instead of mobile 5 which dissapointed me a lot. Anyone know how to update the OS? Or any good websites that talk about it and give advice on how not to destroy your phone?
12IrS12 It looks a hell of a phone. Puzzles me y did they launched the 8100 model which is identical to qtek 8010? just to change the panel? Besides i wud prefer to get my hands on 8100 and reflash it with the latest windows ver. 5. But i know its gonna take a long while now. I had the qtek 8010 but sold it off cos it was a good phone but was nill on the looks factor.
lauren I like this phone i bought it on the t-mob web and walk and it's brill. i'm a girl too, sexist as it sounds but i really get on well with it.. bought it from activmobile in mansfield.
Cheapskate Does built-in WIFI mean that you can go to any access-point (and after connecting successfully - obviously) you can browse/download off the internet using this phone, free of charge?

<unknown> It's a great phone .... took some time to configure for the WiFi access but once I had it working it's pretty neat to be able to browse the net from the phone. The keys are a bit cramped but that is the price for a little bigger screen. I miss a QWERTY keyboard - has anyone tried the bluetooth KB?
