Philips 960 Details
<unknown> hi robbie,
thanks for your guide.
when i select usb drive under usb feature in the phone, the computer will show that it has detected a removable disc. however, when i click on the removable disc, the computer will show 'pls insert a disc into F drive'.
It seems like the phone acts like a disc drive and since I do not have an SD card it can't detect anything even though all i want is to download the pic stored in my phone's memory.
Can you please help me to resolve this problem. my phone's memory is already full and i can't take any more photos / voice record with it. thanks friend.
Darrell (Singapore) With bluetooth running, and poor radio signals within my workplace's building, the 960 could manage 4 days of normal usage.
Pros: Good camera (especially in bright daylight), SD + MMC slot, good MP3 playback, slider mechanism is top class (better than Samsung), Webcam and USB drive functionality.
Cons: Lousy Video, no FM radio, no USB charging, no speakerphone function, soft ringtone volume.
jim960 man,
so your charger has a light or no light?
ella to all philips 960 users... I'm really interested to buy 960 as it has great specs with affrodable price. Can u guys please adv me whether anyone of you had bad experience with this phone (like blank screen due to poor connector cable etc?) I used to have philips 855 which has many problems until they gave me 859 as replacement which was satisfying. Just wanna make sure i won't face any probelm like my old 855...
One more thing, is it really has international guarantee along the package?
thanks a lot for the advise...
Robbie Plug your USB cable, go to connections, usb features, usb drive, and than just copy-paste the photos in the computer. In case you do not have selected the card as the storage location you have to use the software which came along with your phone, but in this case select pc software instead of usb drive and then open the 'phone tools', go to multimedia, etc
<unknown> i still can't transfer pictures from the phone to my pc and vice versa, someone pls pls pls help, can pls give me a step by step guide? i am really frustrated with this phone!!!!
Ruud Thanks Maurice! :)
Rahim Hi,
can anyone tell me how large files can be received or sent via Bluetooth? Is there any limitation like Philips 768 (340kb)?
Thanks.
Robbie Flexible and intuitive menu, very stable, somehow slow in pictures management (acceptable though), good camera in strong light, extremely good voice quality even at max. volume, good sound for mp3 with headphones, perfect communication with the computer (even as storage device), screen more than ok (not the very best either), not yet managed to open a jar file (please help). Bluetooth and IR limitation frustrating, but I suppose it comes from copyright limitations concerning music circulation. Battery about 4 days with intensive use. Quality design and incredible price quality ratio (at least in Romania, where it costs about 250USD). Wold have preferred it in white or antracite, but not yet available...
Jimmy I bought it in April for the good looking design & the 2.0M pixels cam., I love the way of sliding to answer phone & it's very easy to use & get access to mp3. One small problem: it can't play gp3 with larger file size like 50Mb, anyway I satify with the mp3 & 3gp playback & of course the look is cool with metalic finish & excellent screen.
