Tester PANASONIC GD55 product recall

My phone worked 17 days only.

Does anybody has information about GD55 product recall (faulty battery holder)? It's not under warranty even if it should be.

SoT No words can desribe my fustration at this phone. It is nothing but a cheaply made piece of !@#$!!
Two weeks after i bought this phone it died, there was zero reception evrywhere i went, ZERO. So i called up the customer care service (or so they call it) to be recieved by a badly managed service team, badly managed call center and rude employees. Anyway got it fixed and it came back working. Oh, but not for long. Two days later it broke AGAIN! The same problem. So i called them up again, went through the same stuff again. got it back, worked for a few weeks..and then...what do you know, broken again. Called them back telling them off at the shit-ness of their phones. So they picked it up and 'claimed' they would put it on high priorty. and would consider replacing it, but alas, they are too stupid and too cheap to realise this whole courier-fixing carousel was just going round in cirles and it would have been cheaper to just replace it for me. This just shows how bad their managment is, and their lack of 'cusotmer care'. So now i've got this phone back for the third time and now the buttons are sticky, and it feels dreadfully worthless. Wouldn't even be able to sell it on ebay even if i wanted to

In all this phone is nothing but a 'pretty' face. in fact it's not even pretty, its a damn ugly piece of rubbish and who ever designed it and the interface need their heads examined. This phone is nothing but a huge headache and i would not recommend it to anyone. It's cheap, useless, has the worst reception, it's damn ugly, for Gawd's sake; it can only hold 20 messages, it's laggy, and you can't hold it properly.

Panasonic should really re-think their design department and management.

girish i have buy one GD 55 but i get a lot of problems for finding its ringtone.

huso how can i download poly tones for gd55 or any one have note for compresor?

kevin I have gd55 and am in Africa (kenya) but when I try to download the ringtones there is no African country in the list .So please can you give the composing keys for Outkast ..Andre tittle He Ya It would be mmy pleasure if you send me the keys.Thank you in advance

abdullahi hassan to me is handset that is admirable very small very easy to handle.again pls if i want to compose i find it difficult pls is there any advice?.thanks

Wayne This is a great little phone, but I can't find any sites with GD55 keypress ringtones on! You can't download them straight from WAP (it says Wrong Mime or something similar when I try). I tried www.universal-ringtones.net and apparantly that DOES support the GD55 but there are NO tones on there!! If anyone knows of any sites please let me know. Cheers.

Rebecca I don't know whether it's radiation, but when talking on the phone for periods of 5 mins+ my ears and toungue go fuzzy and I get a headache.
