Nokia N80 Details
2jz I have to say that all the stuff about this phone being posted on this site are highly over exagerated. Like the battery, I've read somewhere that it didn't last a day with moderate use(about an hour of surfing, i don't surf much with the phone as i have a laptop i use to surf instead, and about 1h 3- mins worth of calling or so, and moderate messaging), but my phone can manage 2. The reception is top notch like all other nokia's I've used in the past. I bought a silver one btw. Made in Finland.
albeuto anybody knows where i can get free games to download???? plz reply
dani please any body tell mi how to start wi-fi conection on my nokia n80 and i don't now the distance between the phone and the base how long is the distance in mettres
<unknown> anyone know if nokia will provide firmware upgrade for current n80 user to upgrade to n80 internet edition ?
San TO EVERYBODY............
I'm about to give my N80 for N73,do you think i am doing the right thing??
guys i need youre help in this,i know N80 got better things than N73 but i hear the N73 got new crazy things + its loud speakers.
anybody help please & tell me if i just give my for the N73 or keep it.
toking Hi ive had this phone since is was first released in the uk, and i must say its my fav and ive had alot of phones. eveything about the phone is class, what i would recommend is getting the fireware upgraded i was on 3 something and i had probs with it, i went to my nokia service center but they only had the same version that was on the phone so i upgraded it my self using the standard usb cable that came with the phone.
ahmed The battery life is the worst thing about this phone, I would recommend people get the N73 instead (double the battery life) unless you really really need WiFi that badly.
Also the build quality seems a bit suspect, the battery cover on mine is slightly loose and the slide mechanism doesnt have a spring so makes it too easy to open especially when its your pocket.
Sohail To Ned,
Yes, there is a software difference between the Silver N80s and the Black ones. I am fortunate enough to live near the Nokia Flagship store here in Chicago USA, and that's what the representative told me. They are not yet selling the Black ones at this store due to this software difference between the Silver N80s and the Black ones.
che vodafone uk have stopped selling the n80 due to software problems lol
lohwhww Hi,i'm using my N80 for more then a week,it is a great phone i must say.My phone loaded with firmware V3.0617.0.6 and it does not have PDF reader as in the V4.and i do not find the video editor in my phone either. So,when i talked to my local service center regarding upgrading the firmware, they said my phone can be "SIM lock" if tried to do so since it is from EU(I'm in Malaysia now) I'm using the phone with a local Malaysian GSM SIM card.So... is there any one can tell me what should I do or just look for 3rd party sofeware? and how to tell the phone is "open" or "lock" to the country of origin? Thanks.
