Nokia 6233 Details

Victor No doubt about. This is a very good phone. The only gripe I have about this phone is the Contacts Memory. I can't live with only 500 contact in phone memory. I seriously think Nokia needs to increase the contact memory of it's S40 version of phones to at least 1000!!!!! Nokia, can you read this???? You need to increase it to at least 1000. It's the only thing that is stopping me from getting this beauty!!!! Otherwise, like I've said....it's a damn pretty good phone!

<unknown> I'm having trouble getting the java programs to connect to the internet. I can browse webpages via wap over gprs and send / recieve MMS via gprs, but I can't get the java programs to use gprs, which is bad since I have opera mini on it and a msn client. If someone can help, please tell!

surferguy sajid i agree with derek... if u are worried about it some much u have serious issues.. get over it man...

Miracles I like this phone but the battery seems to be a downfall. Is tht true? Correct me if i'm wrong.

Indian Firstly, thanx to this site for helping me in deciding to get a Nokia 6233 for myself.

The 6233 is a very nice piece. I love it. Its got a lovely soft feel to it. Wish it had a flash for the camera.
One thing thats bothering me is that with about 15 mins of playing around with the fone, it tends to heat up a bit. Do any of the other users experience such a prob? What could be the reason?
Will a conectivity cable CA 42 work?

One IMPORTANT Suggestion from U guys\gals:
Do I get a 1 GB micro SD or 512mb for my 6233? The only thing is that the fone should not have any problems or become too slow.
Pls post ur experiences friends
Thanks in advance.
BTW The fone does have a Calculator, check the ORGANISER in the Menu.

Tangoman Thanks everyone for all the helpful info.

Could anyone andwer the following:

1. Can this phone be set to automatically answer itself with the earphones in (like my old 6610)? I.e., ringing in the earphones then the phone answers itself without me having to press any buttons whatsoever.

2. How is the MP3/music organised? Can you view and play music by album, artist, playlist etc?

Many thanks, Tangoman.

<unknown> The new firmware 4.52 is avaliable in singapore. Anyone know what is the improvement or solved bug ?

Richard Keeps hearing V4.52, but still no one appear like Roger to share with us the outcome, I believe many 6233 fans waiting for "good" news.... as for those new comers, I suggest you'll read thru back pages one a time to get what you want to know as seems like question repeating & no "new" findings which suppose to advertise & share.

N can only rec in vga mode!!!!

JamesD Ruthie, Thanks for the info about GPS capability.
