NEC N500iS Details

Kal Dear Lucas..you will know the difference if its 240x320 and still 65K colors. maybe 65K color is good enough for small screen 176 x 220 and you wont see the difference. But screen size will be much bigger for 240x320.Check any phone with 240X320 resolution and Im sure its 256K not 65k.
My point is about technology. This days by default all the new phones are 256K colors.Infact It will be 16M soon (there are few out there already Panasonic/ nokiaN92 for example). So why lag behind when they know the technology?

Lucas again Sorry, I meant "Dear Kal" hahah

jon no memory........

Peter Well if Motorola doesn't come out soon with an EDGE support for its Razr line I will get this one. Looks great! Hopefully it'll be out soon.

<unknown> I like it

<unknown> It's nice to see the re-emergence of elegant functional design with the simple smooth lines and contures in this mobile phone. For some is says sexy, for me it says business. It works both ways without all the tinsil, glitz unsightly appendages and things that go bump, break off, don't work, look cheap or ugly. Good for NEC.

Lucas Why does everybody care about 256K?!? That's a stupid feature. On such a small screen nobody can't tell the difference between 65K and 256K color depth. What MATTERS, is the RESOLUTION... QCIF (176x220) is TOO LOW... QVGA (240x320) as all the NEC handsets in Japan, is the MINIMUM required to have a nice phone. And also a memory card slot. This handset lacks 3G speed, lacks memory slot, and lacks a decent screen. Iranai!

<unknown> ...well with 'only' 39K pixels it does not make much sense with more colours...
65K colours does not nesc. mean that there are 'only' 65K different colours that can be shown. Think of old windows format....

<unknown> this phone looks nice. but 65k? c'mon NEC where are the 256k phones. its about time to upgrade.

jsun1 looks great! wonder if it will be available soon thinking of getting it when i'm in hong kong.
