Motorola MPx200 Details
Andrew Goldenberg Well, I looked online at all these reviews before I decided to go out and buy an MPX200
I have only had mine for a bout 3 days and had a few problems getting it to work in Canada.
I bought my MPX200 from Ebay. I got a great deal on it, only problem was it was not unlocked. After getting it unlocked by someone here in Ottawa that does it called ImportCell www.importcell.com
I got it home stuck my SIM card in and realised it needed to be setup on rogers settings.
If you are looking to get the rogers settings working here is the internet info to allow you to use outlook and MSN messenger
Connect to : The Internet
Access Point: internet.com
User name : wapuser1
Password: wap
Primary DNS: 207.181.104.4
Secondary DNS: Leave blank
IP address: Leave Blank
This will get you connected. Next to be able to use a GMail account on the phone such as I used do the following
Your Name: Your Name Here
E-mail Address: you@gmail.com
User Name: you@gmail.com
Password: yourpassword
Domain: Leave Blank
Check the box that says Save Password.
At the bottom of the next step, for network, select The Internet.
Incomming Mail Server: pop.gmail.com
Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.rogerswirelessdata.com
Check the box that says Outgoing Server requires authentication as well as Require SSL connection.
Pick your own settings for the last two settings as to how frequently you want it to check automatically if any.
Anyways now that that is all out of the way,
I feel this phone has great potential but feel that the people buying it just do not know how to use it especially in canada, and out network providers wont give us an inch and tell us how.
Pros:
+Great Functionality
+MSN Works like a dream
+POP Email retrieval
+Downloadable Themes, Ringers, MP3's
+Can Double as and MP3 Player
+Can Triple as a Video Player.
+SD/MMC Expansion Slot
Cons:
-Aweful Reception (Rogers Ottawa)
-Confusing initial set-up
Overall I think once you read the manual for this phone and play with it a bit youll get it just the way you like it.
Nary Does n e one know where i can download WM2003??
dan hi everyone,,,

Tom Send it to CPW. they repair it.
williams... the mpx200 is a good phone from motorola, the only thing is that doesn't have a camara.
but it has others thing to make you forguet about it, like the mesenger, the windows media player, and other stuff.
duggi have it for two weeks, didn't crash so far ,works fine, very satisfied .No camera-who cares ,that's what digitals are for ,no bluetooth-small minus.Advice:don't use internal memory ,buy sd card (128Mb min)& keep memory free ,than you will be happy with this phone.
1 BIG MINUS -battery last up to 1-2 days.
BUY IT!
eric This phone inst horrible. But there are some problems. Because it is almost like a PDA, it spends much time thinking with the little icon. At which time you can do nothing but wait. Also just like a computer it needs to be restarted everynow and then. Let me just say if you love this phone because it does so many things, that will be the smae reason you gfet frustrated by this phone. It does so many things, but it doesnt do any of them GREAT!
ullas i have given a hard reset to the phone , & i have lost the mms software & the picture gallery from the phone plese sujest a site from where this software can be downloaded ...
