Atif Riaz The phone is very good but the ringtone volume in my phone is very low. I have tried all the sound settings and they are already set at maximum. The E398 of my friend have louder rigtone volume. Unlike other e398s my phone do not vibrate with bass of ringtone. I cant understand the reason. can any body help me?

<unknown> hey! the e398 was a good phone which i had for over a year. it did fall apart quickly though from small things like the headphone cover(top of phone) to the camera lens. you might say that i thrashed it about but this is not true! excellent phone otherwise for features and accesories. bluetooth is a bit slow though. good phone only if u keep it for a few months!

Sheldon Hey, this is the best phone ever, you can upgrade your phone to anything, there's alot of software. Right now I'm using the ipod reveolution. it's video, itunes, I can use any simcards worldwide, the graphics cool, thrust me try it out. Big respect to Motorola, I also get alot of free things, but I can't say what. they are vital. I'm from Jamaica. MOTOROLA RULES

kat there are softwares available for upgrading this fone. i have one myself but i haven't tried it coz there's this chance that if done wrong, the fone will crash...
i have this fone for a year now and my only complaint is the pictures... not very good resolution and when you send hi-res pictures through bluetooth, the fone won't accept

PePs™ Just got an e398 & mod it to a e1 rokr! Now can't live w/out it. But have one question currently I'm still using the transflash card that came w the cellphone w/c is 64mb. I'm planning to buy bigger removal memory & considering to buy a 1gb transflash. & question is that e398 can read a 1gb transflash card?

Dylan i had a motorola e398 for about 9 months. i loved this phone. it's the only phone with a camera that makes me look half decent. but aside from that i love the features, but it did lag quite a bit, but that wasn't a big problem for me. the biggest issue i had with the phone was the charger plug. it's loose fitting and posed a lot of problems for me. the other problem was how it died on me. it just suddenly died. it didn't give much warning. it only lasted 9 months and i read that other people had problems with it dying too. i guess it's not a good long lasting phone after all. i miss that phone, but i hate that it has such a short lifespan. i would buy a new one, but the se k750 is within my budget now so i'm gonna buy that instead. hopefully it'll last longer than my e398.
