i-mate PDA2 Details
shakil bhutta It is a piece of art it is amazing to have all things in a mobile it is handy and if you have PSA2 you dont need to carry heavy burden of laptop with you while travelling.
it is fast design is good and speed is ok but if you download heavy games it some time hang this is the only draw back, and one thing more if you start using it you can not like other mobile or pocket Pc available in the market
Tahir Iqbal Well, since i've bought this mobile, I'm head over heels in love with this PPC/Mobile. Man, it has every thing that you would want. I love and enjoy a lot when I use my Broadband internet on my PDA through Bluetooth PAN (Personal Area Network). And with 3rd party plugins and tools, you can make it greater than anything. And IMO, if you are willing to buy a PDA/PPC, just go for it...
I bought it in Lahore, Pakistan for Rs. 35,000 (5100 USD), oh and it's a used one :( That's the only drawback....
daniel i have had this device for about a month after considerable research, and having used and discarded( currently trying to ebay )an i-mate jasjar, i-mate jam 128mb version, ipaq 6515, verizon 6600.
for me as a doctor my needs are a stable os (wm 5.0 is very UNSTABLE), plenty of on board ram to load 3rd party software, decent camera, wifi, good screen, speakerphone, regular sd slot, relatively small and lightweight......and at this point i went back to wm 2003 se because of the aforementioned, and it has delivered in excellent fashion.
until a form factor such as the jasjar comes out with a verifiable stable os , i hope to keep this solid, reliable pda-phone.
khaled could anyone send me site for free programs download
Yaw Prempeh I like the PDA2 very well. My only problem with the PDA2 is that, I cannot get the photo call function to work. The procedure in the manual cannot be found in the PDA2 device itself. I need help!!!!
Also, it would be nice to add the electronic bible software and the Koran to the device. That would truly make the device unique.
HandyDad It is my understanding (through scanning the pocket pc sites) the i-mate is much more stable due to their ROM. Hope this helps.
Anil John its crap, plain & simple. why? 'cause it has a higher pocessor & higher RAM than PDA2K, but the op sys is 2003 ! Also, wi-fi is not as good as PDA2K. it hangs up pretty much often, esp after games. take my advice - go for something much smarter like DUPOD or something for less than half he price. HP / Treo is also better.
Michael This device is quite quick. Only problems is call quality and reception. It takes 2-3 minutes after starting phone up to find reception. Usually have dropped calls and the reception is unstable. Every thing else works well. I rarely use the phone on this device and with that GPRS/Phone turned off I get 5-6 days before having to recharge.
SandRacoon32680 pda2 can support mp3 ringtones just dont install a 3rd party mp3 playing software pda 2 is cool not that cool but cool enough powerful device if you can maximize it
Asif I think any one who is thinking to buy a brand new pda should preffer this over PDA2K.bec
1-it has 1.3 mega pixel camera
2-Faster Processor
3-Its weight is 190g and PDA2K is 210g.
4-It uses the same accessories as Pocket pc .
