Pantech G500 Details
Alex I have one and I would like know where can I find the Data cable to connect to a pc?? If someone knows in USA
TJ Yes chinese characters are supported if desired. No u cannot download more languages like French, the phone does not support additional languages. There is no BT or IRDA on this phone and to get files on and off your comp you have to have a link cable. Once you have a link cable plug it into the phone and the computer via a serial port then install the phones software which can be found on the pantech website then, once in the software application, click the browser icon at the top left somewhere to enter the browser which acts as means to transfering ringtones and pictures. If you upload a picture to the phone it will be stored in the downloads directory of the phone. Unfortunately, you cannot get a picture from the downloads directory as your wallpaper for the main or sub screens, only pictures captured using the camera can act as wallpapers for the screen.

This is Munu from India.I have a pantech g500.My experence is its a nice set,but accidentally its motherboar showing some problem which i can't use my set.Thats why I am very worried about it.where in India I can get a service centre to make it OK kindly inform me.THANK YOU
CarlosX I bought one for my gf last year when it just launched. Both displays are brilliant, anyway, this is the reason I bought this phone.
No problem with downloading or uploading pics and ringtones to pc. This phone support MIDI and mms ringtones (mms used in Samsung).
But then the phone lack connectivity options, no IR, no Bluetooth. But then again, my girl is no techno geek so she just like it (I tried to convince her to trade-in her phone and get a more high-tech one, she refused).
