BlackBerry 7100t Details
Jman Great Phone, great features. Ive had mine for 3 months and absolutely love it. My complaints are minor. The outgoing sound quality is a little lacking as the microphone picks up everything in the background and the send and end keys could be slightly bigger for easier access because I have large fingers. Otherwise one of the best phones I've used. (#1 favorite still the Samsung SPH-I500)
Ron After about a year of use, my 7100t will not charge anymore from the computer or the charger. Two nights ago it got a full charge only when I shut it off and plugged it in. Now nothing seems to work.
When I plug it in to my computer, my computer gives messages over and over that the USB device is not recognized.
I have had many complaints from people that I am calling that the phone is too loud with background noise and have to try to cover the mic with my hand to get it to sound better.
Katrina After reading the other comments I find that I am not the only one displeased with T-Mobile and their lack of care about the Blackberry 7100t phone they support. The phone is very expensive, but it works worst than my goddaughter's toy cell phone. On top of a slewth of previous problems, my USB port fell out this morning. I was advised that my warranty ended and I would need to purchase another phone. I have checked repair prices and they range from ($70 up). My calls are constantly dropped. So much so, that I have to apologize to my clients for the phone's inability to perform. I have had it! I think it's time to get away from blackberry's and T-mobile all together.
<unknown> My company has 5 7100t phones and 3 of them have very distorted mikes.
William I have owned a Nokia 9210, A Imate Jam and Mto V3r Razr. I have to saay this is the worst and complicated phone i have ever owned. The owner manual do not give you a layout of the keys. When I send messages the suggested text is totally wrong and I have yet to figure out how I turn intellitype off. The phone has only one Alarm so If I have various appointmetns I have to change the alarm. Lesson learn! Never again will I opwn a Blackberry. It's a shame that the Europeans and Asians has to show us how to make a user friendly Smart Phone.
ejp OK, I've read the comments and I must agree and disagree with a few things. True, when it comes to functionality as a Blackberry, this phone does a decent its job satisfactorily. I'm a newbie to the blackberry world so I enjoy being on the go and sending/receiving emails but what I am NOT accustomed to is the crappy sound quality of this thing. I mean come on guys, what's the use in having a "cell phone" if the sound literally snap, crackles and pops. Not to mention your calls complain that you sound as if you're in a wind tunnel. I'm very disappointed with this portion of the phone. Of course this wasn't shared with me upon purchasing it by the T-Mobile rep. so yeh they got my money and I was rewarded with a poorly made cell.
rb7632 I have had my 7100t for a couple of weeks now and love it. I had a 7230 prior to this and it was a pain to use. The 7100t is a much better phone and the new keyboard is great. It takes alittle getting used to but it rocks once you get the hand of it.
Bluetooth is great, I use a Plantronic Bluetooth with mine and it is untra-easy to use. The addition of the call/hangup keys is wonderful and indenting the scroll wheel so you aren't always bumping it by mistake really helps easy of use.
Speakerphone is cool if you use that but I rarely do. The only thing I really miss about the 7230 is that I could program speed dial numbers for every letter and the 7100t is limited to 9.
All in all I am very pleased with the unit and would recommend it to anyone.
joe This phone is joke! Had to exchange with vendor1x in 3 month of use!!. Slow, slow and slow, web browsing my goodness take forever to conneect I can live with that. battery life ..no matter how much you charge , last only half day its pathetic.I waste my $$ , iNow iam thinking to get new nokia 6680 in replacement
Leah this phone is awful. The phone always goes out of the service area, the T-Mobile reps are just horrible and like they don't wanna help. I am considering purchasing the Nokia 7610 or the 6620 or 6670, if anyone has any suggestions please let me know....
smfa1965 This phone blows! Had to give it up after a month or so. Slow, slow and slow, but I can live with that. What got me was the battery life. Absolutely pathetic. Not to mention web browsing was slower than a turtle walking up a hill! What a waste of money. Bought the O2 XDA IIs, and now I'm a happy camper!
