BenQ- Siemens CL71 Details
Kal Nice phone..looks too much like Nokia sliders though..especially the keys on the front. They simply played around with nokia slider designs and came out with nice models. Cool.
Skewrt Just got one lastnite, too early to judge the whole details. So far got no complain at all, all features work perfect, good quality of pics and sound. NO PROBLEM on the battery, i charged lastnite, took a lot of pics, several videos, some calls in and out, and FM Radio almost all time, still 2 bars now after 24 hours. This cellphone is cool...

Correction, the C81 is by Siemens and the P51 is by BenQ.
The reason you have two separate design teams is because all these phones were already in advanced development stages when BenQ took control last September. So there hasn't been enough time to consolidate their design teams properly yet.
Hello_moto hi just brought this aweek ago n simply beautiful screen compare to samsung, nokia,lg becoz the 256k color n the camera brilliant display n sms user friendly faster n mp3,radio great n Benq combine with siemens this time they both rock u have been benQ :)
asker_dex BenQ have just contacted me on the upgrading for the firmware to support the chinese input.. real fast... looks good..
squal Siemens was the first to introduce slider phones in the world. It was many years ago. Its name was SL10.
So Nokia is playing around with Siemens slider designs..

The reason there are differences in the keys is that the EL71 was developed by Siemens and the CL71 was developed by BenQ. Which will also explain the slightly different user interfaces.
